Can we merge partitions in Windows Mobile? i recently bought a Samsung Omnia i900, and was disappointed when there were 2 main partitions on my device. a 100MB one, and a 8GB one, plus my MicroSD Card. however, the 100MB was used up by tons of programs and emails. i would like to "merge" the 8Gb and the 100MB partitions so that i can have a bigger amount of storage space. any ideas? apparently there's a way by using the registry editor... but i'm still not too sure.
How to build a mobile wall partition? I need to build a wall on wheels for an art gallery, they need to be about 8 feet high, and it needs to be build for cheap. My idea is to install 4 heavy duty casters on double layered 3/4 plywood at 1' wide and 4' long. Then on top of that build a skeleton frame out of 1x4s and attach 1/4 ply to the frame. Does anyone have a better/ cheaper idea on how to do this?

What is partitioning - Freecom Mobile External Drive 250gb? Have just purchased the above external drive with the purpose of providing a back-up for my files held on my Windows XP desktop. The software manual helpfully describes how to delete a partition, then it describes how to create a partition. That is all very good but it doesn't explain the nature and purpose of a partition but seems to imply I need to delete one or create one before I can proceed with using it. On my desktop there are two account users and I am wondering whether partitioning has something to do with facilitating the backing up of files in different accounts which share the same name such as "my documents" or "my pictures".
What are the court specifications on sleeping arrangements for 1 boy & 2 girls if grandmother takes custody? I have a 3 bedroom home with their uncle in one and myself in one. I need to figure out how to sleep everyone to satisfy courts. It is a mobile home. Can a partition be put up in living room ?
How can I partition a MicroSD card to have two partitions? I have a SanDisk 8GB MicroSD card that I use with my T-Mobile G1. With all the new features I've delved into, I've finally taken the dive into moving my applications to the SD Card. To do this, I need two partitions on the SD card, a FAT32 partition and a EXT2 partition. I'm running Windows Vista, which has made things difficult. Is there any freeware/easy ways of doing this? I'm not interested in dual-booting Linux because I don't have the memory on my computer to do that. Thanks!

How often should i get a new laptop/notebook ? I currently have a HP dv5000, (bought new 6/06) 120gb hd (minus the 12gb needed for the recovery partition)2gigs of RAM AMD Turion64 Mobile 1.99GHz Windows XP Im a 2nd year architecture student and have to run some demanding programs such a AutoCAD, Rhinoceros, adobe indesign, illustrator, photoshop(the adobes arent that demanding tho) plus programs i havent encountered yet. I was planning/hoping to get a new one (probably a macbook pro) in the summer of 08, when my current laptop becomes 2 years old. i think it would be kinda hard to carry a desktop computer and monitor from class to my room everyday.
I have an AMD Mobile Sempron Laptop, Dell Inspiron 1501. Will I be able to install Mac OS X Leopard on it? If I partition my hard drive so it has enough space on it, could this work?
Will copying a file and moving a file(same file) take the same time? I mean for large files like 2GB or 3 GB files. Suppose i want to transfer a file of size 2 GB from one partition to another (or) from computer to mp4 player /mobile memory card. Will copying and moving take the same time? Well, i have a problem with powerpoint 2007 speed? It seems to go quite slow on my laptop. I'm not sure ether it's the hardware, or if it's the software on my laptop. My laptop has a 2.40GHz mobile pentium processor, with approximately 60GB of hard drive space split into 2 partitions, and 1GB ram, with a Mobility Radeon 7500.

Which mobile phone networks do 3g or 3g turbo data services for pay as you go customers? Just got my first 3g capable phone with wifi. It'll mostly be used abroad but I have pay as you go sim cards for most of the UK networks. Vodafone's web site says this http://help.vodafone.co.uk/system/selfservice.controller?CMD=VIEW_ARTICLE&ARTICLE_ID=1754&PARTITION_ID=1&CONFIGURATION=1000&CURRENT_CMD=BROWSE_TOPIC&SIDE_LINK_TOPIC_ID=1047&SIDE_LINK_SUB_TOPIC_ID=1159&SIDE_LINK_TOPIC_INDEX=null&SIDE_LINK_SUB_TOPIC_INDEX=null so I was wondering if TMobile, O2, Virgin, Orange offered anything better for pay as you go customers? I'll get a new sim card if I have to. I'm leaving my laptop in Norway since Ryanair are so stingy with the baggage allowances and will just get by with my Sony Ericsson P990i AnYingJi (hope I spelled that right!) Thanks for your reply. I'm getting my email happily into my Sony Ericsson P800 and P910i. If I want to travel real light, I use a bluetooth fold out keyboard with the P910i/P800. I thought I'd ask because it seems as soon as you try anything "practical" like this in the UK,. you get stung for it. All day on GPRS in Norway on Pay As You Go costs a max of £1. If I have a 3g capable phone, it makes sense for me to try and find a Pay As You Go deal that will let me use it when I'm in the UK. I'll poke around mnore websites and report back. The T-Mobile web site was a farce. You can't email them without a UK address! ha ha ha. I'm sending 200 students to the UK so I presume that's some business T Mobile won't be getting. I forgot to mention, using GPRS / EDGE at the moment for all my data. If my 3g capable phone won't go faster than EDGE / GPRS simply because the 3G service isn't on offer to someone using a PAYG SIM card, it seems the UK is living in the dark ages technologically.
Why does Vodafone charge you to make voice calls using Skype on your mobile? O2 dont with the iPhone!!? My mum & my hubby are both with vodafone & im trying to download applications to their phones that will be useful to them. http://help.vodafone.co.uk/system/selfservice.controller?CMD=VIEW_ARTICLE&ARTICLE_ID=2331&PARTITION_ID=1&CONFIGURATION=1000&CURRENT_CMD=SEARCH&PAGE_TITLE=Basic%20Search&SIDE_LINK_TOPIC_ID=&SIDE_LINK_SUB_TOPIC_ID=&SIDE_LINK_TOPIC_INDEX=null&SIDE_LINK_SUB_TOPIC_INDEX=null tex k, it states clearly it doesnt support it on ANY data plan.

PC Aging - The best way to do it? I have my excellent PC (from the fall of 2006) - custom-assembled: 3GHz CPU,1GB RAM,(Awesome Gigabyte Motherboard),256MB Video Card,120GB HDD,DVD-RAM(etc.),Floppy,~10 USB Ports),17' TFT LCD Philips,Dual Speakers,Optical & Wireless Keyboard and Mouse,Webcam&Mic and soon added to it ~10 min UPS and 500GB Mobile HDD! The problem is that it is aging and it is still noticeable even after Formatting HDD Partitions and Reinstalling Windows XP Professional! I try to keep it as Clean as Possible now (Storing my Large Digital Data Collection on my Mobile HDD) but obviously its Hardware is Aged! I am planning to get some awesome Laptop therefore I don't want to Upgrade my PC so far! Is there anything that I can do to help my PC's Hardware work better (it can still run heavy Video Games such as GTA SA) and lighter (it has particular problem with Heat in the Summer)? " It shouldn't have a problem with anything. When a computer "Ages" it is generally the Windows installation that is slowing down, not the actual hardware. While browsing the internet, most users pick up all sorts of unwanted cookies and other software which gradually slow down their computer. A fresh installation of Windows, configured with the most recent versions of Flash, Java, and your web browser, should return your computer back to its brand-new speed. The only semi-hardware aging is the fragmentation of the hard drive, if you defrag it on a weekly or bi-weekly basis you should be fine. " Well I've done all of what you mentioned but I believe the problem is in the hardware indeed because its very sound is different from how it used to be years back! Sometimes a nasty scraping sound occurs (which concides with Intensive HDD Performance which I can monitor from Google Desctop's Sidebar! Any further advice? " I would be patient and add another fan to your desktop . Enjoy your laptop experience. " An external fan or internal? Thanks! " Ok i think it is relatively good however AEON who left feedback is a moron seriously he thinks that's its really outdated unless its brand new does he even realize what that would cost. Don't listen to him. " For sure - even a baby wont listen to them! ^^ " The best thing to do to speed up an aging PC is increase the RAM. A second gig should be fine. If you wanted to do a little more to speed things up, a new graphics card may be in order. 256 MB is about the bare minimum for today. Good luck. " Not really - the RAM Consumption hardly reaches Half Gigabyte and the Video Card shouldn't really matter when Browsing! The real Problems seem to be the Processor - it Tends and Reaches it's Maximum when browsing Yahoo! Answers (and some other sites as well) ^^ & the HDD - that Scraping Sound is No Good for sure ! :O " People never understand why their computers run slow, untill they understand the big problem is windows itself, for a start windows XP Pro is 9 years old, and well passed it sell by date, That computer you have there is a flying machine or would be if you had the right operating system on it check the Youtube Links out and see what that computer can do with Linux, That Mac and windows users can't do but can only dream about, if you want to know more message me http://www.youtube.com/results?search_ty... http://www.youtube.com/results?search_ty... Source(s): http://www.sabayon.org Excellent system http://www.mandriva.org 2009 version http://www.dreamlinux.org this is like the Mac OS/x operating system http://www.ubuntu.com 2009 just come out last week http://www.pclinux.org 2009 version " Yeah , good point! But will anybody help me with the Scraping Sound that Occurs sometimes!?

Undoing partition on Windows Vista laptop? When I first got my laptop, it asked me if I wanted to partition it. Stupidly, I did. But now my computer keeps yelling that I am running low on disk space - even after deleting unused programmes and files on C: I only have 1 GB left out of 30GB, and 80GB on D: I'd really like to get rid of D: and just have loads of space on C: It's driving me mad, if anyone can tell me how to get rid of a partition, that would be great. I DO NOT want to buy software, so if there's anything else you can recommend that would be awesome. Also, if I have to reset my laptop, I don't mind - would resetting it get rid of the partition? I'm running Windows Vista Home Premium on a Fujitsu Siemens Esprimo Mobile.
windows 7 partition problem!? hi guys.. i recently bought this laptop http://www.bestbuy.com/site/HP+-+Pavilion+Laptop+with+AMD+Turion%26%23153%3B+II+Dual-Core+Mobile+Processor+-+Moonlight+White/9554671.p?id=1218123526907&skuId=9554671 i tried to make a partition from disk management.what happened is the partition was created (i shrank about 100GB from C drive) but it doesn't appear on the my computer...from the disk management i can't shrink it,delete it or even show it's properties. i used some 3rd party programs like partition 8 magic and others but it can't see the partition also....my friends suggested to recover my laptop using the recovery files that it has....1st i tried to create a recovery disk since it's new...but it tells me that i already did a recovery disk and I'm only allowed once although i didn't make a recovery disk and recovery disk didn't come with it so i tried to restart my laptop and pressed F11 but it didn't work and continued to windows...i tried to do the recovery from the windows but it told me there is an error and i need to insert a recovery disk. ps: the HDD drive has been converted to dynamic (GUID) instead of MBR after this problem occurs

How to upgrade from Windows Vista to Windows 7 on partitioned hard drive? I don't have a clue where to start. I tried out Windows 7 and liked it and am thinking about trying to put it on my computer but it may be more trouble than it is worth. I don't have anything on my computer that I am worried about loosing, I already back up all my pics and music. Currently I have Windows Vista 32-bit. My computer has 4BG ram and an AMD Turion X2 Ultra Dual-Core Mobile 2.20 GHz. I don't really know alot about partitioned hard drives as this was my first laptop.

Ubuntu troubleshooting? My Ubuntu takes ages to boot... It takes at least 3 minutes to start up. I installed it on 8Gb partition drive with 1,5Gb for swap. I got 512 RAM, 1500 Mgh Mobile Processor and WInXP Pro installed. HDD is 100Gb so it's 20Gb for XP, 8Gb for Ubuntu and around 60Gb for different stuff. Any suggestions? Thx in advance
What Virus could I have?!?!? Basically, my computer shuts off when I watch online videos (such as youtube). Also, I started putting CDs on my computer. The computer shuts off as I am ripping cds. I can get through a certain amount, it changes.. Sometimes I can burn a CD, other times I can only get through like 2-3 songs. I have just got a T Mobile Wing. So I've also been getting those ripped songs sync'ed to my phone. Unfortunately, I get equally as far in that process until it shuts down. Also, same with the videos.. Sometimes I can watch an entire ten minute video.. Then I click on another 40 second video, and it'll shut down my computer.. Here are the specs on my computer, just so you know a little bit.. I partitioned my HD in two. The C had 100 Gigs, now it's down to 21. The D drive still has all 100 Gigs. Microsoft Widnows XP I am using the Pentium 4, 2.66 GHz., 1 Gig of RAM. Umm.. My Video card is ATI X1600 Pro. I am using eTrust Antivirus junk. When I run Windows Defender, it doesn't find anything... So what could this be? Because trying to get music on my Wing is taking a ridiculously long time when I have to stop for two minutes because it shuts down every ten minutes.
Windows 7 Write Protection issue.? Hi guys and gals, I have spent the last week researching and troubleshooting this "Write Protected" problem. I am at a complete loss. I bought it brand new then. Everything has been working fine. I have used the Maxtor Basics Portable to transfer files and store files with no problems. Until last week. When transferring a file to the Maxtor Basics Portable I got the message, "Disk is Write Protected". I have tried all of the "fixes" (diskpart/formating/checkdisk/rebuilding partition tables and MBR... etc. None of them worked. Ok here is the weird thing. On this laptop i cannot format, disk check(with fix errors checked), change permissions etc. However, on my Acer netbook with the exact same Windows 7 build, everything is fine. I was even able to format my Maxtor Basics Portable after backing up all of the files on another computer. I still am unable to write to my Maxtor Basics Portable and as this is my primary laptop it is necessary for me to resolve this issue. I am running out of space in my laptop. I look forward to your combined expertise and the solution to this ridiculous issue. Cheers, Jaime

Windows Vista won't install on C drive. Can anyone help? Hey I have Windows 7 and it's not working properly with my Mobile Broadband, so I need to downgrade to Vista. When I installed 7 it gave me a random partition that wasn't there before, it's about 100mb in size and has nothing on it. It's F:/ When I put my Vista disk in it says it cant be installed because F is too small, even tho I want it on C. I can't boot from the Vista install disk because I'm using an external DVD drive (internal one is broke) and it isn't bootable from with my BIOS. Can anyone shed any light on this? Thanks

What do you think about the Indonesian Archipelago to Valleys of God? Indonesia was less of a Muslim country prior to the Dutch invasion. However, when the Indonesians found out about the European atrocities under the banner of Christianity and the other methodologies the Westerners employed; the people then slowly started to adopt Islam more rapidly as a means of gaining strength and to resist. Islam was not forced on Indonesians as some people would like to claim now. Indonesia used to be a religiously tolerant country. However, since the idiocy of 9/11 there has been a very noticeable reduction the tolerance level of Indonesians towards Westerners. Specifically, the arrogance and ignorance directed towards Islam and to Muslims, since 9/11 that emanated from USA, Australia and elsewhere have made many Indonesians very cranky. In addition, after the Bali bombing, the naked interference and pressure from the outsiders made far too many Indonesians angry against the interfering outsiders. This lead to a feeling of helplessness and a feeling of being victimized one again by the outsiders. In many ways it appeared that the Westerners led by Australia, have influenced the outcome of legal cases and the executions of alleged Bali bombers. So the lesson is, allow free speech, democracy and an independent judiciary to operate and flourish. Surely, this will allow a free and peaceful society to exist. Do not terrorise your own population or anyone else's simply to be in pursuit of the mighty dollar. Similarly, Islam was taken up by people of the current Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and many other countries with an open heart rather than by force as some people would like to propagate. In many ways, India (the current Bangladesh, India, Pakistan and Kashmir) was ruled and enriched by the Muslims for many centuries. Unlike the imposed and popular beliefs the Muslims never imposed themselves on to anyone. It was the British who used sectarianism to conquer and continue their expansion. Even after the sad partition of the region religious extremism was not a noticeable issue. For reasons better know to them, the Western corporate governments used to support religious radicals over secular nationalists. For example they have created and supported Bin laden and Al-Qaida including the rotten General Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq who failed to find any Pakistan scholar in support of his ridiculous "fatwas"! However, he found some obsequious and obscure Islamic experts from Saudi Arabia and with the assistance of the CIA he imported an extreme version of Islam. This trend continues to this present day. Therefore, do not blame any particular race or religion for the current regional quagmire. The way forward, the solution to this mess is to follow proper democracy, free speech and an independent judiciary as well as avoid arrogance and ignorance imposed by the outsiders at the barrel of a gun in a mad pursuit of the dollar. Problem replacing Ps3 Hard drive.? I just bought a PlayStation 3 40GB, before I saved any data I decided that I would replace the 40GB with a 250GB, I bought a Seagate 250GB 5400/8MB 2.5" Mobile SATA HD from TigerDirect. I replaced the hard Ps3's hard drive with the Seagate, when I turned it on it said "Connect the controller using a USB cable, and then press the PS button." I did, after I pressed the button this appeared on the screen. "The system software cannot be run correctly. press the PS button to try and reset the system. If the system cannot be restarted, the system partition of the hard disk must be reformatted and you must reinstall the system software. Insert storage media that contains update data of version 2.70 or later, and the press the START and SELECT buttons at the same time. For information on how to obtain the update data, refer to the SCE Web site for your region." I tried pressing the PS button to restart the system, but it brought me right back to this page. I went to the Ps3 web site to obtain the update 2.70 I found the page there and followed the instructions. There were three methods of updating. " * System Update » Update using the PS3™ system's [System Update] feature. * Update using a PC » Download update data using a PC and save on storage media* or a USB Mass Storage device. Copy the update data to the PS3™ system's hard disk drive and perform the update. * Update using disc media » Update using update data that is included on a game disc. *An appropriate USB adaptor (not included) is required to use storage media with some models of the PS3™ system." I chose the PC method as I thought it was appropriate for my situation. "Required items * PLAYSTATION®3 system * A wireless controller * A USB cable * A PC with Internet access * Storage media (Memory Stick™, SD Memory Card, CompactFlash®)* or a USB Mass Storage device such as a USB flash drive (At least 140 MB of free space required) * An appropriate USB adaptor (not included) is required to use storage media with some models. Update data download procedure 1. Create a folder on the storage media in which to save the update data. Using a PC, create a folder named “PS3” on the storage media or USB device. Within the PS3 folder, create a folder named “UPDATE”. 2. Download the update data and save it in the "UPDATE" folder created in step 1. Notice Be sure to save the update data as noted below. If the data is not saved in the correct way, the PS3™ system will not recognize the update data. The folder name must be in all uppercase letters. * Location: Save in the “PS3” folder > “UPDATE” folder * File name: Save as file name “PS3UPDAT.PUP”." I followed all of the steps, pulled the USB flash drive out of the computer, and plugged it into the Ps3 and pressed the start and select buttons at the same time as I was instructed. It then took me to a screen which said. "Checking... Please wait." After it was done 'checking' it took me to yet another screen which read. "No applicable update data was found. Insert storage media that contains update data of version 2.70 or later, and then press the START and SELECT buttons at the same time." Wash rinse and repeat. I tried it multiple times but to no avail. If someone could please help me out with this I would greatly appreciate it.
Nokia users only: can you recommend me a cell phone with these characteristics? I want to buy a nokia mobile, but I don't know what to choose. My budget is limited to 200 dollars, or 180 euros. I want it to have a 2.0 or 3.2 mpx camera, possibly with a flash. I'd like it to have strong audio and a memory card partition. I don't know what else to add. oh yes, I want it to be strong, not to break at the least fall, because I keep it in my bag and impacts are a common thing out there. So, I am waiting for your suggestions. Thanks in advance!
IS THIS A GOOD SYSTEM, OR OUTDATED BY TODAY'S STANDARDS? I have this laptop my boyfriend left behind - he bought a new one. This one's about 2 years old. I'm trying to decide if its a keeper, or do I need to upgrade it in any area, or buy a new one and sell this one. I know a little about computers but am still learning. I do like the fact it's XP and not Vista - I know I'll have to switch to Vista at some point. I think its set up for video editing? Also, I think he "partitioned" the harddrive into two separate 80GB harddrive for some reaon. Did that need to be done? And is there any way to "undo" it and make one harddrive for the 160GB? I'd appreciate all of your feedback, and will give points for best answer! Frozen mouse cursor Macbook/Windows? I have a Macbook that is partitioned with windows. I am a musician and a writer and I got the Macbook specifically so that I could have all the programs I needed in one unit. It worked great for years up until couple weeks ago, I encountered a problem with my Mac side. After calling in for help, we discovered I will actually have to go to an Apple store to solve the problem. My Windows side, however, was working fine. I'm in the middle of writing a book and I was about to go online to look up a word definition when my Sprint Smart View mobile broadband card asked if I'd like to download updates. With great remorse I selected yes and when the system rebooted, my mouse and USB ports stopped working. My cursor is frozen in the middle of the screen. I tried a safe boot but it wouldn't work and then I tried to open with the last known good settings. It seems my comp doesn't know there's anything wrong. When I urned on the comp to the mac side, the mouse worked fine, it just won't log in to OSX. The problem with the Mac side is that its trying to download an update but it's stuck, so we'll actually have to connect it to another mac to erase that update timer. Problem is, the nearest Apple store is a couple hours away from me and I won't be able to get there for a little while. My question now, is how can I access the chapter that is stuck in my windows side without a working mouse? The rest, I have backed up on another computer as well as a gig stick. I am totally distraught over possibly losing my work. Thank you for any help.

IDE 66 on IDE 0, IDE 100 on IDE 1... Will it slow down all IDE devices or just that channel? I'm putting together a media server / domain controller for my house out of older computer parts. (The domain controller is just for the hell of it, I'm a network geek). But anyhow, if I run the OS from IDE 0 on a 5400rpm IDE 66, does it just slow that channel down, or will it slow the other IDE devices? Server 2003 will be the only thing running from that drive. All the installations of other programs on another drive, and the media will also be on the other drive, only on a separate partition. The HDD's in question are a Maxtor 8.7GB IDE 66 drive running at 5400rpm (model 90871U2) which will be on IDE 0 with the OS loaded, and a Seagate Barracuda 320GB IDE 100 running at 7200 rpm (model st3320620A) I am running an Asus A7NBX-E board with a AMD mobile proc overlocked to 2.4GHz. 1GB PC3200 (400Mhz) DDR RAM (Supertalent). I will be running a DVD-RW and a plain CD-ROM from a IDE controller card.

gpsPhone on v1.1.4 iPod Touch:? Hello : ) I have installed gpsPhone ( GBA Emulator ) onto my iPod Touch that is running 1.1.4 firmware. I used WinSCP to SSH the gba_bios.bin into the gpsPhone directory and changed the permissions of the file to 0755. Then I put some ROMs ( .gba format ) into the folders: "private/var/root/Media/ROMs/GBA" and "private/var/mobile/Media/ROMs/GBA" and then changed all of the permissions to 0755. However, after starting gpsPhone, it still says I have no ROMs, and that I should put them into "var/root/Media/ROMs/GBA" I cannot figure out where I am going wrong, as I have definitely done everything recommended in the forums! The only possible problem I could think of is that I used BossTools to move my applications into the Media partition of my iPod's storage ( So I could hold all the ROMs in the first place! ) Please help me : )
IS THIS A GOOD SYSTEM, OR OUTDATED BY TODAY'S STANDARDS? My DVD Optical Drive is not working.? My optical drive is Sony RW DW-G521A ATA I used the program Paragon Partition Manager to split my hard drive into two, but then I aborted the operation because I noticed I was running out of space. After that my optical drive stopped working. It makes a sort of grinding noise when I place a disk into it and close it. And when I try to check on it through computer it just tells me to insert a disk into it when there is already a disk in it. Odd. I fixed the registry, cleaned the DVD Drive, reset it, uninstalled and installed the driver and thats it. I didn't notice anything burned or anything the lense also looked good and stuff. I really don't know whats wrong with it, but I sure don't want to pay $400 for a new one which HP is asking from me. I really there is a way to fix it but I have done so much research and I cant find any solution. Maybe one of you have found a solution, if you can either explain it to me or give me the link fro where you found it. Computer Specs: HP Pavilion DV2000 Windows Vista Ultimate SP1 Intel Mobile 1.99 Ghz Best regards, Jean Luis Thanks for your help johnw, there is a problem however, those DVD Drives are for desktop, my computer is a notebook. Thanks anyway for your time. :D
"Did ye then think that We had created you in jest, and that ye would not be brought back to Us (for account)? WHY WE IGNORANT? See, every thing that man create, it also maintain a manual for it..how to use it. like mobile, there is manual, "don't put it in water it will demage, if u want to reciev call..press receive button etc etc" so do's and dont's will be in manual, the creator of man must have given full manual, from where man came, where it will go, what will hapen with him after death,... Al-Qur'an, 042.007 (Ash-Shura [Council, Consultation]) In the LAST MANUAL FROM GOD, the Quran, its explain in greate detail, what will happen when we die,...like the following verses. 023.099 (In Falsehood will they be?) Confuse with Vista and XP? I badly need your advice. I will buy a new laptop next week & I was already decided that I would get the HP dv2730 until my best buddy freaked out when he found out the OS is Windows Vista. He said I will just waste my money with that OS & suggested to request to the store to change the OS to XP instead. He has a degree in comp mgnt & obviously know more about computers. He also recently bought an ASUS with OS Linux so I understand his concern. The Hp I was talking about comes with the following specs: Intel ® Core ™ 2 Duo T7500 (2.2 Ghz) 2 GB DDR2 SDRAM (2 DIMM) nVidia GeForce 8400M GS Dedicated 128MB Graphics Memory * 250 GB (5400RPM) HD HD-DVD-ROM with SuperMulti DVD+R/RW Double Layer * 14” WXGA High Definition BrightView Widescreen (1280x800) Intel® PRO/Wireless 4965AGN Network Connection plus Bluetooth™ * Altec Lansing speakers Touch Pad with dedicated vertical and horizontal Scroll Up/Down pad 6-Cell Lithium-Ion Integrated Webcam 5 in 1 Digital Media Reader HP Quick Play HP Mobile Remote Control Finger Print Reader ExpressCard/54 PC Card Slot Expansion Port 3 Genuine Windows Vista Home Premium (32-Bit) 1 year on Parts and Labor I'm pretty okay with the specs however I don't want to take the risk & then regret afterwards. I'm also thinking of making a partition for XP & Vista. I know its possible but I dont want to crash the laptop very early. Please advise... I'd like to use it for internet, music, movies, psp downloads, a few games... I'm not familiar with Vista. I've been using XP for the last 2 yrs in my office's computer desktop & its okay.
