Room divider? Me and my sister share a room, but we both want our room. We cant move, so is there any way we can divide it without alot of construction? like maybe a home made room divider or something, it cant be super expensive thanks!

How can I make a good room divider for a studio flat? My living room and bedroom are all one room.... what would make a good divider? A curtain type hanging or a board-type divider or something I can store something in as well as space is minimal... any ideas? Where can I find a ROOM DIVIDER for a young girl and boy sharing the same room? My sister just bought a house. It's a great house but it has 2 bedrooms and its 3 people. Her and her 2 kids. Now the kids room is rather large..so it can actually be made into 3 bedrooms. How do I install laminate floor around marble room divider? I am installing laminate floor in every room of my basement, except the bathroom. Currently the bathroom is separated via a marble doorway divider that is glued/adhered directly to the concrete slab below. There is tile in the bathroom, but the divider is quite wide, so if I remove it and replace it with a matching laminate doorway divider, it wont be centered on the door frame. Can I undercut the marble with anything? Should I just butt the laminate to it and have a small gap?

Does anyone know how to make a room divider from hollow core doors? Years ago, I used to watch a show called Interior Motives on the Discovery Channel. Christopher Lowell had all kinds of neat ideas on this show. In one episode, he made a room divider out of hollow core doors. The divider was shaped like a U, kind of. On one side, he put another core door horizontally attached between the doors to make a desk. On the other side, I think he put a bed or a sofa, or something. I have a very large unfinished basement with a concrete floor. We use one side as a playroom and the other side for laundry and storage. I wanted to use this idea or something like it to make a craft area for myself and my kids. I can remember the basic idea but can't remember what was used to attach the pieces. I want it to be stable and sturdy so it doesn't fall over or hurt anyone. Any suggestions, or ideas about where I might find directions for something like that? I've done multiple web searches and can't find what I'm looking for.

How do you measure for room screen/divider? On average, what is the usual length I should expect on a 4 panel room divider that measures 5 1/2 feet in length (each panel appx 17") I know the real answer is "it depends". BUT to assume stability can I expect at least 4 feet? 3 feet? Thanks.

Would this work? - fabric room divider? I want a divider in my room to have two sections, and I'd like it to be fabric. I want to hang the fabric from the ceiling, like with a ceiling track. My question is, would it be easier/cheaper, to just hang a curtain rod on the ceiling and hang it from there. To me, it seems exactly like a regular window curtain would work. How to determine square footage for a rectangular room with a wall divider? I had a room air conditioner in the living room window blowing through the house front to back. Determining square footage was easy. Now I have to move the air conditioner to the back of the house in the dining rooom window. But there is a wall separating dining room from kitchen.
