How do I get keys cut for my internal office doors? I've just moved into a small partitioned office with 2 internal doors. They have separate locks and I've been told by building management it would cost $25 plus $15 postage and handling for new keys. If I provide a proper locksmith shop with the lock numbers of each door, can they just make me a set? If so, how do they know I'm not just some robber?
How to partition a small office? I have a small office (8x13ft) with a small wash basin given in a corner. I want to sheild the wash basin from public view. The prevalent practice here is to place the filing cupboard in front of it which I don't want to do as I feel it gives a cramped look. I was thinking of erecting a low wooden partition and painting it like the walls or should I use a screen of some sort? Help! p.s. this office is in my workplace.

Is there any hope? Anyone get it working? If so, how? Thanks.
Microsoft Office not installed for current user? I've recently installed Windows 7 beta on a partitioned space on my Drive C. When I installed Microsoft Office 2007 on it, I could not run the program. Every time I open Microsoft Office 2007, a message will appear, "Microsoft Office Word(or whatever) is not installed for the current user. Please run setup to install application". There is only one user account on my Windows 7 which is also the administrator account. I've tried reinstalling it but it won't work. Please help!
Open Concept In A Office Better? okay this may sound a little vague, but i will try my best to explain it. in a office setting, will a open concept whereby the managers and directors mixed and sit around with fellow workers better? or will a traditional office setting with normal office cubicles seperated by partitions and room for the senior managers be better? the type of industry this comapny is in will play a part in deciding the management approach. the style and leadership of this company's management plays a part as well. we also have to consider the particular department and its function when deciding whether to adopt a open or a traditional concept. I think all in all, a balance has to be made after taking into consideration all the above factors. what are your views on this?
Please help me, microsoft office question!! Any help would be much appreciated? I reset my laptop to factory settings and I'm having trouble re-installing microsoft office, I don't have the original cd, but i have my product key. Is there any way I can make this work? I have an office suite and I am going to partition in it into offices.? Does there has to be a vent return in every room where there is vent in (register)?? Please note that there will be some space below the door. All the offices will end up having vent in and return except one small office where there is a vent which gives, but there is no return. Also, is it true that the return is always less clea than the vent in (register)?? Thanks
Office Depot File Question? I am trying to order those expanding file folders with the partitions for bills, medical, recepits, etc. I am having trouble finding them. What are they called? I know this is silly, thanks. I know the basic name for it, I just can only find tabs A-Z and Jan-Dec.
iWork or Office:mac - which is better for a college student? Which one would be better for a college student (first-time Mac user) doing some papers, a few spreadsheets and the occasional presentation (but mostly papers?) Oh, and don't say OpenOffice (IT SUCKS!) and don't say "just install Office on a Windows partition and use BootCamp or Parallels" (I DON'T WANT TO!)
There is a partition on the other side of my office that is used for visitors to work at. There is a employee? there who has been offered office space but has chooses to stay there most of the time. He is a nice person, but it is driving me crazy. Listening to him whistle, type, just being there. He has taken over my coffee pot, and I just feel like he is in my personal space. I cant make phone calles personal or professional as it makes me nervous to talk when he is hearing everything that I am saying. He has walked around "MY office space" a few times and grabbing things off my desk. No one in this office does that. Should I purposely try to annoy him or what? I have been playing music this morning.
Want to use my already installed MS Office with...? Just set up a dual boot with Vista/Windows 7. On Vista, I had Office 2003 installed. Is there any way I can use this with Win 7 without having to re-install Office? I would love to use software I already have installed on the other partition. Thanks!
How do I get two cisco 7940 phones to ring simultaneously without using a shared line? I have a person that works in two separate offices as a manager. Each office is in a separate location, dev pool, partition...etc, and each has a different directory number. The current manager will switch locations on a regular basis and wants to have it so it doesn't matter if one or the other line is called, it will ring in either office. Presumably, a new person will soon be hired to take over as manager in one or the other office, so I don't want to implement sharing the lines between offices, because although that might be the easiest solution, it's not good to have lines from different partitions appearing all over the network on devices in other partitions...it could quickly become a mess. So, I'd just like to have both numbers ring at the same time when one or the other is called. I was looking at line groups and hunt lists, but don't want to create a new hunt pilot number that people have to remember to call, or they'd have to change the directory listing.

Office 2003 setup on a system recovery partition? - Locate product key? Hi there. I have an Acer Aspire 5100 that came with Windows Vista Home Basic. I did a full system recovery but realized Microsoft Office was not part of the system recovery. I did some browsing around the system recovery partition on my D Drive and i found the Microsoft Office 2003 setup program. I was expecting Office 2007 since my notebook has Windows Vista installed. I launched it and it is asking for the product key. There is no office tag on the laptop and the notebook did not come with a microsoft office cd. How and where on the recovery partition can i recover this key? Thanks
How to free up space on Windows partition? I’ve got XP Service Pack 1 installed on a 2.55 GB partition. Trouble is, it has walloped all the space there and still wants more. Currently only 53mb is left, and I need to install Oracle 9i. Can’t see the possibility of that happening under the circumstances. The most baffling thing is, I haven’t installed any software on that partition, not even Ms Office, and yet the space is gone. And no Virus either. I did a scan with NOD32. Ok heres the breakdown of the contents of that partition: FOLDERS: Documents and Settings 359 mb (3 user accounts) Recycled - 85 bytes System Volume Information - 25.9kb Windows – 1.22 GB Program Files – 294 mb Config.Msi -- empty FILES: Hiberfil 254mb Pagefile 384mb What can I do to free up space without formatting and installing the OS once again?
what do you call a workstation system where workers sit at long tables in rows? The workers sit at a long table facing another long table of workers. There are rows and rows of these and there are no partitions. Macquarie Bank in Bond Street, Sydney, uses this system. Workers are squashed against each other in a noisy environment where they have no privacy. I'm wondering if this is a new trend in office layouts.

Scary Office...............? I was watching the horror movie "Susuk" over the weekend, which then reminds me of my scary haunted office :( In the office, I am the only one right at the back.. Initially I don't mind as it has a magnificent window view... My male colleague who is sitting infront of me had resigned a few months ago... So his workstation is vacant... and now, another colleague who is sitting on my left had resigned a few days ago... So her workstation is also vacant... Don't know why but I find it really scary to be sitting right at the back, being isolated from everyone in the office due to the 2 vacant workstations beside me... Worst still, the partitions are extremely high, you don't even know if anyone is around... The environment can be freaking quiet at times... I have been playing some verses of prayer at my computer lately, so as to "ward off" the spirits... heheeeee.. I just feel that if a place is vacant for too long, "another being" will reside there :( Lately I don't feel a 'good vibe' around my workstation :( I'm a bit scared... *PS - Best part - My management has announced there shall be no replacement of manpower due to the economic downturn... This means those 2 empty workstations will be empty for a very long time :( I am fine with the additional workload... but not with the eerie atmosphere surrounding my workstation now :( Aku takut amat! ^ B - Thanks for yr feedback dear... It's not that I do not wish to move up... Just that it is really freaky to have an empty space behind me... To me, this is even more scarier... Can even have goosebumps... ^ Dato K - Thank you dato for the reminder... Just that last Friday, no one was in the office except me... Really my bulu roma semua naik :(

What kind of business can I start in a warehouse building? My husband has a machine shop and only uses about 1/2 his building. I would like to start a business in the other half. I wanted to partition off a room for an office and do bookkeeping and then I was thinking about maybe a document shredding business or a document storage business would be good - any other ideas? Thanks! The zoning would not be a problem. This building is located in the center of town off a main street through town. I currently work for an accounting firm and you would not believe the paper we go through - we use a shredding service and have a storage building. Doctors offices and lawyers also have a lot of documents that cannot be thrown in the garbage because of the information they contain. Thanks for the input - any more?
Attention general contractors: how much would it cost to tear down a wall? How much would it cost to tear down a wall which was put up in a garage to partition a portion into a little office? It's a one-car garage, approximate size of wall is 11 lineal feet by 8 foot high. It was done by a builder so is most likely to code. It has a door as well to permit access to the entire garage. I'm just looking for a cost range to raze it and remove the debris.

How do I reinstall Microsoft Office? My laptop (Presario) came with Windows Vista Basic and it was so slow that I removed pretty much every program it had to see if that helped, now I want to sell it but most people want it with MS Office and the computer didn't come with one single Office or Windows CD, also when I burnt the "system restore" one I had already removed Office. Is there anything I could do to get Office back?. This computer has a partition called RECOVERY that supposedly recovers Vista but I don't know if that would do what I need. Thank you.
