Can you partition a portable hard drive and back up files from 2 different computers?

Thinking about Western Digital 80 gig

1. USE PARTION MAGIC 8 SO YOU WOULDN'T HAVE TO TRANSFERE OR BACKUP DATA YOU WILL RE-PARTION IT WITH IT'S DATA

3. Just bear in mind that if you are accessing it via USB, the partitions should be FAT32 - we've had trouble getting portable drives to work properly if they are formatted as NTFS. A simpler solution might be to just put the different backups in different directories.
4. yes you can, but why so small hd? id suggest a bigger one about 200-250Gb, it's a little expensive then 80Gb.
