Portable Hard Disk Partition?

I was trying to format my western digital passport 160gb when my friend tried to do it he clicked Delete Partition in My Computer>Manage>Disk Management. Now my drive doesn't appear anymore when plugged in, how can i get it working again? thanks

1. try going into control panel/device manager.
2. You should be able to see it in disk management to create a new partition, and then windows should see it. Windows can't see a disk without a partition. If you can't see it in Windows management, then I'm not sure. It may be more than you care to do, but you could always take it out of the enclosure and just hook the hard drive straight up to an IDE or SATA cable inside your computer to make a new partition. It would have to see it then or else something is wrong with it.
3. Log in to safe mode DOS. Type fdisk and hit enter Fdisk should recognize the portable hard disk and you can repartition and format it.
