What is the name of a mobile-pc-spec finder?

to clarify, my friend came over the other day and pluged his flash drive into my usb and ran a program from it, within 15 seconds, all of my pc specs were shown, front side speed, processor, temperature, ram, clockspeed, hardrive capacities, partitions, pci cards, ip address, and alot of other specs. i have lost contact with him, and i want it so when i help people with their pcs, i know what ot upgrade and stuff, thanks for all of the help.

1. i use 2 programs.. one called speedfan, that gives all the temperatures your motherboard can give (processor, hard disk drives, northbride) another one is cpu-z, that gives me the model of the processor, its stepping, the instructions is can handle ( MMX, SSE, SSE2, SSE3... etc), the core speed and the FSB, it also gives the number of memory modules you are running, just in case you forgot :D, and their sizes, their frequency and timings.. for the pci cards, i have no idea how to check them but for opening the case and looking for what's installed, or using the device manager. hope this helps.
