What are the court specifications on sleeping arrangements for 1 boy & 2 girls if grandmother takes custody?
I have a 3 bedroom home with their uncle in one and myself in one. I need to figure out how to sleep everyone to satisfy courts. It is a mobile home. Can a partition be put up in living room ?

- Who has custody makes no difference. It is very unusual for a court to specify sleeping arrangements unless there is a compelling reason to do so. You can do whatever you see fit. If they are young, just let them sleep in one room. If they really want privacy, you could put up a partition if you want.
- If the children are small (ages 3-8), then the gilrs can sleep together and the boy can sleep alone. they sell bunk beds that sleep two at the top, and one at the bottom. If they are older, then the girls can still room together, but the boy must be in his own space.
- Depends on their age you can ring the welfare they will help you without hassling you I don't think you need to give them any person details as you are only looking out for their welfare and that a good thing your doing.
- When I was in foster care the only specifications they had were that the room we were in didn't have a lock on it, and that it was easily accessable (near exits) in case of emergency.
- You might consider a sofa sleeper (high quality?) for the living room. Either you or uncle, or even one of the kids can sleep there. Depending on the state, they usually frown upon two children in the same bed. W/ a sofa sleeper you would then have in effect four bedrooms. Another very good option is bunk beds and a separate twin/full sized bed in the kids room. Would be cozy but very doable. Kids would then feel like they each had their own personal bed, makes them feel independent to have their own personal space, however limited. Good for their self-esteem.
