  1. sheetrock/drywall, 2x4's, Drywall screws, joint Compound, Hammer, 3 inch nails, corner joining plates, drywall joining tape, a drill, box cutter, you might need a drywall saw for cutting holes, Wall edge trimming... and a litttle effort, its not hard to build at all. You really can do it alone if youre confident. this will help, because im not typing step by step instrutions..... http://www.thisoldhouse.com/toh/newhome/article/0,16219,217320,00.html The thing to remember is that the prep work is important, plan it and measure correctly, that way youll know exactly how much material to buy.
  2. If you do not own the place a simple curtain & curtain rod will do. If you want to get creative you could get wood or plastic lattice (criss-crossed stuff used in gardens & around porches) from the hardware store and frame it with 1 X 1's. then tack some material of your choosing to the back of it. Both ideas are very inexpensive.
  3. A partition is a framework of boards with matching coverings that only acts as a divider or screen, and not for physical support. It should be easy, but make sure to locate and mark the rafters in the roof, if you plan on making the partition flush, and the framework in the walls if you want to create another room! Use 2x4's-16" on center! Good Luck!
