can the public ask for a vote to remove the current District Attorney in office. ?
The public is very dissatified with our current DA. He ran unapossed for office so we didn't have a choice. We currently have a partition asking for his removal from office and would like to get it on the 2008 ballot but we need to know the rules. We live in NC.
Public Comments
- NO
- Probaly not, but even if you could most ballot measures have to have the signatures in my the summer to be on the ballot.. Why not just get someone to run aganist him it's easier?
- Most states have provisions for a recall election of a local official, but the procedures can be difficult and complex. If you want legal advice you can rely on, hire an attorney and pay for the advice. Asking for advice here is a no smarter than getting legal advice from your bartender.
