How to raise my windows experience base score?

Would a 320gb or a 500gb hard drive make a difference in speed? I'm not having a major problem I just want it to be very reliable. It's a laptop, how hard is it to change my video card and is there a link that gives me a selection?

  1. Have you tried updating all your drivers? They make a lot of difference, especially with graphic cards and motherboards. However, your score will only go down continuously until it is totally insignificant. That's MS' marketing telling you to spend more money on your computer. But from what I can tell, you can just change your graphic card.
  2. Agree with darkmax, try updating your drivers, Nvidia or ATI, always come out with their little bug fixes, which often increase your graphical percentages. Uh, other than that, the vista experience based scores, are just the calculations of your lowest sub scores, so check what you need to be higher, and either find the drivers, or if you have the highest version drivers, try cleaning out your system, with spyware programs or etc. Other than that, you'd pretty much settle on getting new parts. (Don't rely on Vista's windows based experience" its only meant to give you a taste of your specs=)
