Mobile Partitions

partition of portable hard drive..?

i "accidently" partitioned my portable hard drive while looking at the settings.....i had downloaded a cd of music files onto it whilst using a pc....i have a mac and access to pcs..i could in theory live with the partition if i could use each partition for each system...is this possible? do i need to do anything to enable this? i read something about formatting both partitions in the same way that would enable this.....but the download limit for a file would be 4gb...how much is 4gb in terms of video or games? is it possible to erase the partition if necessary, and then erase the music from the pc using my mac....thus freeing it up to reformat to mac as a single partition... cheers in advance! the hard drive in question is a iomega prestige 320gb...

1. 4 gigs is about the size of a normal dvd. as to using on macs or PCs you can read NTFS file systems on both so maybe you should use the PC to format as NTFS
