i want to install an operating system on my new portable harddisk i bought for my eee. i split it up in 2 partitions: one partition of 50 gigabytes, wich i want to use for os x (want to try to get it working), and the other partition is 415 gigabytes for data. i know how to get an usb drive bootable, but is it possible to make one partition bootable, put the installation files on that partition, and then install the os on another partition of the same drive? my problem is not running 2 os's on one disk (different partitions), that's just dualbooting. i want to put the install files (wich are usually on the dvd drive, but there's no dvd drive in a netbook) on one partition of my drive, and then install it on another partition of the same drive.
